Gupta (10) studies the entomological research in Nigeria during 1900-1973, a total of 1720 papers were analyzed to study the author's productivity pattern and to test the applicability of Lotka' s on four different sets of data and found that the law in its original form does not apply to any of the data sets as an '

Inverse Square Law'.

inverse square law and its relation to the

The scientific explanation comes from the

inverse square law in acoustics.

These two classes of modalities are related by the

inverse square law (see Figure 4).

In high duty pump and fan applications for example, this will mean taking advantage of the

inverse square law of speed to energy consumption to deliver some significant savings in energy use.

This is named after Robert Hooke (1635-1703), the English scientist who formulated not only the law named after him, but remarkably, also proposed an undulating theory of light, introduced the term "cell" to biology, postulated elliptical orbits for the earth and moon, and proposed the

inverse square law of gravitational attraction.

He begins with the familiar

inverse square law in terms of simple calculus, then introduces step by step more complicated situations, gradually bringing in more sophisticated mathematical tools.

Hence, there are well-known conversion methods expressing TMR values in terms of percentage depth dose (PDD), phantom scatter factor (Sp), and

inverse square law (van Battun et al, 2002).

While the rates would be expected to follow the usual

inverse square law with distance from the source, our measurements reveal that the air kerma levels themselves do not in general.

Setting [W.sub.2] = 1 and [W.sub.i'] = 1 in variational principle Eq.(15), and other weighted constants are all equal to 0, namely applying Eq.(7) and Eq.(13) to derive the changing rule for the gravitational coefficient G' (instead of the gravitational constant G) and make the gravitational formula in accordance with the

inverse square law.
